FotoBooth Apollo Edition

fotobooth.jpg

I first created FotoBooth back in November as a Flex application that used a server for file storage and retrieval. The conversion to Apollo not only allowed for local storage of the image files but also allowed me to create tools to view (using windowing) and manage the image files.

Also added to this version is the animation of the new images being taken as well as the countdown clock and sound effects.

This application is a more mature version. It requires a webcam, preferably at least 480 x 360 in resolution. Anyone with a MacBook is good to go.

    Hi there,

    Nice shot !

I was wonder if Apollo allow a direct export to jpg files for your photos so we can reuse it has Photo Booth do it ?

    Thanks

The photos are all stored on your system. The path differs if you are on a Mac or Windows.

    Mac would be:
    user\Library\Preferences\FotoBooth\Local Store\Images

    Windows would be:
    Documents and Settings\user\Application Data\FotoBooth\Local Store\Images

Nice, but how do you export them from BitmapData ?
Is this an Apollo built feature or one of your self-made class ?

Take a look at the JPGEncoder and PNGEncoder classes within the corelib:
